Having painted with various mediums over the past several decades, I discovered silk painting in 2012.  The luminosity of the silk and the vibrancy of the dyes brings a whole new dimension to each piece.

I’m constantly exploring new techniques, weights and weaves of silk, and have expanded my silk scarf dying to include ponchos, caftans and tunics which I sew with silk thread and then dye.

I enjoy combining whimsy and abstract in my paintings as well as practicing several Shibori techniques.

In 2023 I began conducting silk painting workshops in my home studio in Southern California.
